Scott R. Levy '94 AB, Adjunct Lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, will discuss the history, dynamics and impact of School Boards 


Scott Levy is Adjunct Lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the author of "Why School Boards Matter: Reclaiming the Heart of American Education and Democracy" (MIT Press, 2025). He has been elected four times to a local public school board in Westchester County, NY and is a NYS Teachers Retirement System board member. Scott formerly served as president of the Westchester Putnam School Boards Association, a member of the Lower Hudson Education Coalition Steering Committee, and chairman of Blythedale Children’s Hospital. He was also Executive Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. Scott is a partner at Lynrock Lake LP and spent most of his career as an investment banker advising corporate boards and management teams. He has served on the Harvard Alumni Association Board and was the former president of the Harvard-Radcliffe Club of Westchester.
