September 28 - Volunteer at Our New Way Garden

Come enjoy camaraderie at this very popular family-friendly event while gardening in support of community access to healthy produce!

Please join us on Saturday, September 28 for the Harvard-Radcliffe Club of Westchester's first Community Service event of the year with Our New Way Garden!   Mingle and meet fellow alumni while helping an incredible cause!

ONWG is a nonprofit that addresses food insecurity by educating the public about locally and naturally grown food, increasing community acccess to healthy and organic produce, supporting local businesses, and providing productive activities as well as positive sources of income for youth!

 

The location will be the New King Street Garden in West Harrison, NY (4 New King Street).  Participants will receive an email prior to the event that confirms all details including site. 

 

The Harvard-Radcliffe Club of Westchester will provide refreshments prior to gardening.

  • Possible activities include:  Harvesting, Planting, Fertilizing Trees, Weeding.
  • Children of all ages are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
  • There is a chance of getting dirty.  Closed-toe shoes are recommended.  
  • Feel free to bring gardening gloves - extra pairs will be available as well.
