Jonathan R. Thompson, Ph.D. of the Harvard Forest will discuss his research topics including:
- Climate and Land Use changes in New England
- Forest Conservation Initiatives

Jonathan R. Thompson, Ph.D. is the Research Director and Senior Ecologist Lead Principal Investigator at the Harvard Forest. Dr. Thompson's laboratory focuses on impacts of climate and land use change on New England Forests. Current projects include forest landscape modeling, studying the effects of forest fragmentation and financialization, and asking whether land conservation raises property taxes. Dr. Thompson also works with policy makers regarding the role of forests in climate mitigation. He will offer a sampling of research findings regarding climate, land use and conservation.
