September 21 - private tour of kykuit estate - SOLD OUT!

We have arranged for a private tour of Kykuit Estate, home to four generations of the Rockefeller family, in Sleepy Hollow.

The name Kykuit is derived from the Dutch work Kijkuit which means "lookout" as the property is stuated on the highest point in the Pocantico Hills, overlooking the Hudson River.
 
This grand mansion was built by John D. Rockefeller--the founder of Standard Oil and noted philanthropist profiled in Ron Chernow's "Titan"--and passed on to his family over the generations.  The house is a National Historic Landmark and is a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. 
 
The 2 hour guided tour focuses on the main house, the family's art galleries, the golf room and coach barn. 
The tour is limited to 18 people and there is an early booking discount - see below for more information.

Notes:

  1. The tour is partially wheelchair accessible.
  2. The tour is only recommended for individuals 10 and up.
  3. Kykuit requests that attendees arrive at the visitors center at 1:30 PM to assemble for the 2:00 PM tour.
