Hudson Valley Club's Shakespeare Festival Event - June 24th

Light buffet and Shakespeare's "Measure for Measure" at the Boscobel mansion

The Hudson Valley Club have extended an invitation to their Shakespeare Festival event at their member prices:

"Pleasure for pleasure, it would be hard to equal the Club's annual foray to the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. Each of those words beckons: We gather by one of the Hudson Valley's sublime panoramas, a wide river with mountain and West Point backdrop, in the garden behind historic Boscobel mansion. Shakespeare, this time Measure for Measure, offered in an open tent by Equity actors creatively directed.

The festivities begin with award-winning Brimstone Hill wine served by vintner, Dick Eldridge '59, a multi-course buffet featuring poached salmon and grilled chicken, and then a short talk on the play by Bard College Literature Professor Adhaar Noor Desai who has just taught a semester course on Shakespeare’s comedies. Best of all, we've reserved 100 discounted tickets for the preview performance of Measure for Measure.

So come, join us on Friday, June 24th at 5:30 PM to meet old friends and make new ones.

Collegially yours,

Shirley Johnson-Lans '56, President HRCHV
