What Darwin Didn't Know: Evolution Since the Origin - March 24th
Andrew Berry of Harvard will discuss contemporary developments in evolutionary theory, and the enduring insights of Darwin's Origin of Species, over dinner at the Stamford Sheraton
Harvard Club of Fairfield County has graciously extended an invitation to the Harvard Radcliffe Club of Westchester to join them for Andrew Berry's discussion on contemporary developements in evolutionary theory.
Andrew Berry is a Lecturer in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard College, and was previously a Junior Fellow in the Harvard Society of Fellows. He is co-author, with James Wilson, of DNA: The Secret of Life, has contributed to scripts for several PBS series, including NOVA, and is one of the most sought-after presenters on the Harvard Speakers Bureau roster.
His talk will encompass contemporary developments in evolutionary theory, the remarkable robustness of Darwin's thinking in the face of enormous recent leaps in genetics, and findings from Dr. Berry's own original research into evidence for natural selection.
